Today was another exceptional day for Hippocampes Divers. Many people don't quite get the value or the impact of diving on our society and the great feeling it can provide.
This 22nd of May 2009 can come along as another stepstone in the history of hippocampes Divers. Olivier Borgognon (#935807) had the chance to meet a wonderful person, a 2* CMAS lady of 84 years old who decided to book a dive with us. She has been diving since the age of 60 and did her first SkyJump 2 years ago. Full of life we enjoyed her company, stories about diving and all the wonderful moments we could share with her.
At the same time, Jose Miguel Gonzalez Oliver (#926373) was introducing the underwater world for the first time to a young girl of just 10 years old, Emma Schroeder.
When trying to explain what diving is all about, it only comes back to the feeling we have, what we can change in peoples lives, what they get from the experience, and how that amazing discovery of the underwater world can simply change our lives. But today it was different, we didn't have to explain, we simply had to look at those generations, quite a few apart, with the same passion, with an amazing smile on their face and with the pleasure we could share with them on such a great day. Those days are priceless, they are the TRUE reason of why we do what we do on a day to day basis, why we thrive for quality, enjoyment, fun and transmission of our passion over the world.
Thanks to the whole team, Aoife Synnott, Clive Davies, Jose Miguel Gonzalez Oliver & Olivier Borgognon for their help on making this day a memorable day for hippocampes divers and for all of us.
