| Mallorca winds gone crazy |

Times are changing... climate change is a big word out of all mouths, and for the last week we have been having incredible weather... no not the good one we are used to and that we like but the winds, 100km/hour and waves that we have not seen last so long and be so strong. For the last days i was giving classes, confined water being pretty rough the last days... and with a final Open water dive in 0m visibility and rollercoaster diving in the waves for a quick entry. Last night, 1st of novembre 2008, the winds were going totally mad, windows were shaking and waves from the south-west winds were just breaking along the beach, the center and the whole Virtual Club area. This morning the waves were just crashing above the restaurant, approximately 10 metres high, and the strength just forced the concrete and the man built structures apart. The platform where people were enjoying a relaxed summer is now in pieces, the chunks must be something like 2-3 tons and 1-2 meters wide, 50cm thick... the plating of the concrete is in pieces... and waves were just boucing in front of the center, with a few just "spraying" the doors when i was doing theory today. see for yourselves... but it's just incredible.                                           |
