On this 20th of september 2008 a little group of humans decided to make a difference on the planet of shame, hands-on workouts, intensive care and high motivation took the buddy-teams to destination. After 3 years of hesitations and various failed attempts to organise an international beach cleanup day, we can proudly announce that on this 20th of september 2008 Hippocampes divers in mallorca achieved a high standard Beach cleanup day. From 10:00 to 19:00 a group of divers, snorkellers and land helpers worked on making this planet, the beach and the underwater world a better place to live. Snorkelling teams going to grab a lot of rubbish from the shallow areas of the beach and swimming zones, and the deeper end for divers, whilst the land-helpers were sorting out the collected bags, counting, compiling data and doing land cleanups on various parts of the beach. We must thank the friendly participation of "Amics de la tierra" for a land cleaning during the morning, and a good fun "marketing" program on their part in the afternoon :).
